A Couple Games That I’ve Been Playing

I don’t typically play online games. By which I mean the Flash-ads-disguised-as-games games.
Mainly because most of them are usually rather obnoxious, or horribly designed, or both.
But these two have managed to achieve a feat most others fall short of: they have held my attention longer than 2 seconds.
Because of that, I felt they were worthy enough to be included on the site.
Note: You might want to mute your sound before playing. There is no way to turn off the sounds on the first game before loading it up, and it can get a little obnoxious.
RaidenX
Vertical shooter games, whatever you want to call them, are some of my favorite type of games.
My teacher in my 9th grade science class must have agreed, because he kept some old arcade cabinets of them in his office that he would let us play when we finished our homework.
This one isn’t the best I’ve played, but it’s still fun, and I won’t even make you explain the evolutionary origins of giraffes before you play.
So you don’t have to go through the menus, the controls are:
- Movement: Arrow Keys
- Fire: Z
- Bomb: X
Puzzle Quest
Puzzle games are an interesting breed.
So interesting, in fact, that I typically can’t figure them out at all.
But I actually liked this one. Besides, it has an easy mode, so I stand a chance.
A little hint, remember that you can rotate and/or flip the pieces to make them fit. Since I don’t like to read help menus it took me a minute to figure that out.
Hold the left mouse button while pressing each of these keys, respectively.
- Rotate Clockwise: Space
- Flip Horizontal: Shift
- Flip Vertical: Ctrl
