If you haven’t seen the movie, stop reading right now and go get a copy of it. Yes, it’s that good.

Not change-your-life-forever “good”, but definitely good.

Unfortunately, there are multiple versions to choose from, so let’s break it down:

The “I Just Like The Movie” Version

This is the copy you can find anywhere. It includes the movie, and that’s about it.

Of course, that’s really what matters, so the savings of around $10 might be worth it if that’s all you care about.

The “I Loved The Movie And Must Know Everything About It” Version

The Wal-Mart exclusive includes the movie itself, as well as a bonus DVD of Transformers: Beginnings - a prequel narrated by the voice of Optimus Prime, Peter Cullen.

The “I’m A Film Loving Geek” Version

The Target exclusive includes the 2-Disc DVD, which includes the movie and a bonus features disc, but coolest of all, comes in a “transforming” DVD case of Optimus Prime.

Yes, it’s cheap plastic, but it’s still cool. Although, it does make it a tad hard to fit into a traditional DVD tower. Ah well, you can’t have everything, right?

The “I’m Just A Geek, Geek” Version

And finally, we have the Best Buy version, which includes 2 miniature action figures - you can see Optimus Prime in the image above.

It’s not really practical, and doesn’t really have anything to do with the DVD itself, but if you’re looking for some new toys to fight against your Barbie collection, that must be it.

Which One?

Personally, I picked up the Target version. But hey, as LaVarre Burton might say, don’t take my word for it.
